This will probably worry Lodovico and push him to doing something about it. This showed to Lodovico a side that he has never seen before, Othello’s bad side that included jealousy, anger and his abusive nature. ![]() Othello simply lost his anger, and instead of holding it back he slapped Desdemona instead. Hitting your wife much less a girl is very unacceptable by any means. Personally I would say yes that Lodovico would get Othello in trouble. Will Lodovico do anything to stop the marriage between Othello and Desdemona after witnessing Othello slapping her? The people that witnessed Othello’s actions would start to suspect something weird is going on, and start disliking Othello. Personally I kinda felt bad for Desdemona, because she doesn’t even know why Othello would be that angry at her when they both should be very happy in returning to Venice. People there were extremely shocked because they witnessed something Othello would never have done before, as he reacted in anger. This is an extremely embarrassing thing to do as he just wrecked his good reputation. Othello, makes a huge scene in front of these people when he reacts in anger and slaps Desdemona. One of the settings that was shown in this scene (based off of the movie) was shown outside the town, with a lot of people. Othello leaves the scene, leaving everybody shocked to what they have just witnessed. He orders Desdemona to leave, to which she does. Everybody is shocked, at the action Othello did. Othello slaps her when she shows him her content towards the news. Desdemona is very happy too because she is also leaving Cyprus. Misinformation, planted 'proof' and deliberate lies are part and. The letter that Lodovico gives to Othello made him upset as he has been called back to Venice. Othello may very well possess a great military mind but in matters of the heart, hes easily fooled. Later on, Desdemona is with Lodovico, a messenger from Venice. After they left, Othello comes out of hiding very sad and is filled with thoughts of Desdemona. Bianca then shows up with the handkerchief (that she copied the pattern on) and tells Cassio that he won’t get anymore favours from her if he doesn’t go to dinner that night. Cassio reenters the scene and gets tricked into a conversation about having sex with Bianca. When Othello wakes up, Iago tells him to go hide, and listen to the conversation he is about to have with Cassio. Cassio arrives on scene, and Iago requests to talk to Iago once Othello recovers and leaves (cassio then goes out and waits for the right time to talk). ![]() When Iago says that Cassio has told him that he has slept with Desdemona, Othello starts to hallucinate due to his thoughts overwhelming him. Through his conversation Iago is planting more thoughts into Othello’s head about his wife cheating. Is this 1st scene of the 4th act of Othello, we begin with Iago and Othello having a conversation. Othello misunderstands a lot of the information that is presented to him, which lead him do many bad things. This is exactly what happens in this 4th act of Othello.
